After 12 years in the corporate fashion industry working as a designer and business planner for companies including JC Penney and Nike, Inc, Jewell followed her passion for holistic healing and founded Gratitude Griot LLC. She has trained and taught thousands of hours of workshops and continues to be a student of various anatomy based movement and mental health modalities.

The “Griots” in West Africa were the storytellers of the tribe that shared the history of the people.

Gratitude Griot LLC roots reach towards growth and appreciation for life.   The brand partners with licensed mental health care providers and holistic wellness specialist to offer interactive educational programing to facilitate lifestyle changes for personal and professional development.   Jewell embodies and teaches the scientifically-proven benefits of a consistent gratitude practice and thoughtful storytelling.  Through her work at Gratitude Griot, Jewell honors the healing potential of transparency and authentically owning our human experience.
